The Lunch meeting was held at the Sunrise Restaurant at Noon.
Program highlights:
Our Speaker today was Gail Pirnie who works for Health and Welfare in Adult Mental Services. She talked about the services that are available to adults with mental Health issues. She stated that most of the cases are from the indigent population.
Some of the services available are:
· formed groups
· vocational rehabilitation,
· Case management helping access different services in the community.
Some More Notes:
A P.A.L Boxing meeting is scheduled for December 27th at 7:00 A.M. at Mr. V’s. We still are looking for sponsors for the Silverbelt Boxing.
Anita has the brochure on a e-mail, if anyone needs it to spend to prospective sponsors.
The Optimist Regional Meeting will be held February 11, 2012 at Twin Falls. Connie asked that as many members of the Caldwell Optimist to attend this meeting as possible.

Veep2 CONNIE ENSIGN gaveled the meeting to order as Prez ANITA “NO TARP” WHELCHEL was on a Cruise! Sounds like a fine time to me.
2nd NOTICE – it is time to elect officers for the Caldwell club. May 18 meeting.
MARY ARMSTRONG modeled her new socks!
Program highlights
No program so we talked about the upcoming Yard Sale and Raffle. The club decided to unload our old Craps table that day. CASEY CROOKHAM volunteered to transport it up to 15 mi radius for the buyer.
Prez ANITA “NO TARP” WHELCHEL announced that we will be starting the platoon care package and she will have a box at the next meeting to fill with goodies. For ideas come to lunch or call Anita.

At the recent District meeting in Spokane this past weekend Marlie Tarakai, Junior at Caldwell High, did very well in the Oratorical. I’m repeating myself.
LARRY “RAH RAH Man” BLACKBURN has thrown announced he is a candidate for PNW Governor-elect! So far he is the only name in the hat – could be a “shoe-in”.
GENE BRASSE won the BOB-A-LOO deck of cards!
GENE BRASSE won the Secret Greeter!
A regular two-timer!

The Idaho Silver Belt Invitational coming to the Caldwell Events Center on February 12
The Idaho Silver Belt Invitational amateur boxing sponsored by the Caldwell Police Department in conjunction with the Caldwell Optimist Club will be held Saturday, February 12 at the O’Connor Fieldhouse in the Caldwell Events Center starting at 6 pm.
There will be 20 exciting bouts of amateur boxing; tickets will be available at the door. Children under 6 are FREE; youth 6-12, $5; Adults $10 and Floor Seating $15. Proceeds go to Caldwell Police Athletic League (PAL) and Caldwell Optimist Club.
Due to popular demand from competitors, Matinee Bonus Bouts will be held starting at 1 pm and all tickets for this special afternoon session will be only $5.
The doors will open one hour before the competition starts for the afternoon and evening session.
